Romney and Bluefaced Leicester Sheep at Willow Wool Farm in Michigan -
Welcome!

Our 2011 shearing is done, we have a few Bluefaced Leicester
fleeces available but I expect them to go fast. The Romney fleeces will be added
as we skirt them and have pictures ready. With all the rain skirting is slow
this year, I'm having a hard time getting my outside work done. The ewes stayed
blanketed this year from December when we began feeding hay until either they
lambed or were sheared, we have quite a few yearlings with their lamb clip. The
fleeces we've skirted so far have all looked very nice.

Kate

Kate, maybe our favorite Romney ewe. She is an
excellent mom, fosters orphan lambs without a
fuss and gives us nice fleeces like this one. Weighs 6 pounds, kept jacketed
from the start of hay feeding until lambing.
Priced at $10 a pound.
Romulus

Romulus, a Bluefaced Leicester: I don't usually
keep rams around long enough to get a fleece from them but
Romulus was nice enough to take to the Shiawassee County Fair where he was
Reserve Grand Champion Ram to his Sire.
We kept him jacketed all winter until shearing time. Nice Bluefaced crimp and
luster.
Weight is 2.2 pounds and priced at $16 a pound.
Cindy

Cindy, a Bluefaced Leicester: Cindy is my nicest
Blueface ewe, s
he gives me twins she raises every year without trouble and this very nice
fleece.
She kept her jacket on from the start of hay feeding until she lambed in the
spring.
Weight is 1.11 pounds and is priced at $16 a pound.
Greta

Greta, the last
of the Bluefaced Leicester fleeces I'll have until next year and the biggest
one.
Lovely crimp and luster, typical of a BFL fleece. We kept her jacketed from the
beginning of hay feeding until shearing time.

Diana

Diana's first fleece! She's a Romney yearling ewe
and grew very nice wool.
Tight, even crimp and weighs a generous 4 pounds.

$10 per pound.
Mariam

Mariam is a nice Romney yearling ewe we've kept in
the flock. Her first fleece makes us happy we did.

over 6 pounds, priced at $10 a pound.
Violet

Violet is a BFL/Romney
cross and was very pregnant when we took this picture.
Her fleece has quite a bit of the blueface character that makes it so much fun
to spin.
She was kept blanketed, her fleece weighs just under 5 pounds and is priced at
$10 a pound plus shipping.
Azalie

Azalie, lamb clip from a Romney
ewe, very pretty gray, nice, even crimp and a good staple length. She weighs
