2009 Fleeces
Shearing went well this year and the fleeces are the cleanest we've ever had.
Madison's Fleece
Madison had a nice one this year with a beautiful
crimp and a 6 inch staple.
Weight was just over 6 pounds and is priced at $8 a pound.
Cassiopeia's Fleece
Cassiopeia's staple length is 6 inches and she has
a nice clean fleece with a beautiful staple.
Weight is a bit over 5 pounds and she's $8 a pound.
Coral's Fleece
This is Coral's first fleece,
she'll be going to show in the yearling ewe class at the Shiawassee County Fair
where she was Reserve Grand Champion last year from the ewe lamb class.
Beautiful crimp and lock length.
Priced at $8 per pound, weight is a bit over 7 pounds.
Kate's Fleece
Kate and her ram lamb Aspen (he's on the right)
and her adopted ewe lamb Ethel Merlamb (because she sings very loud).
Aspen will be going to the Shiawassee County Fair and is for sale.
Kate's fleece was very nice this year and was kept jacketed over the winter.
Price is $10 per pound and weight is 7.8 pounds
Aurora's Fleece
Another nice fleece from Aurora, good staple legnth and crimp. Priced at $8 a pound, weight 7.4 pounds.
Hollyhock's Fleece
She was the Grand Champion
Romney ewe at the Shiawassee County Fair her junior lamb year.
Her fleece has a beautiful crimp, weighs a bit over 7 pounds and sells for $8 a
pound.

Louie LaMour
Louie LaMour is
retiring this year so this will be his last fleece for us.
My scale only weighs up to 10 pounds and his fleece weighed more than that
so I'm calling it 10 pounds and pricing it at $7 a pound.
I have a favorite sweater I've spun and knitted from him and he works up
beautifully.
